Li Auto was founded in 2015 by entrepreneur Li Xiang under the original name Chehejia, later rebranded Lixiang before adopting its current name. Headquartered in Beijing, the company focuses on premium electric vehicles equipped with a small gasoline engine to extend driving range. Its first model, the Li ONE SUV, introduced in 2019, combined spacious interiors with advanced driver assistance and quickly became a bestseller. Successors include the full-size Li L9 and Li L8, alongside the compact Li L7 and the all-electric Li Mega MPV. Known for its range-extender technology and customer-friendly service network, Li Auto has established itself as a leading player in China’s NEV market, with plans to launch fully electric SUVs in the near future.
