About Acura
Acura, Honda’s dedicated luxury and performance division, launched on 27 March 1986 in Torrance, California, under Soichiro Honda’s vision to compete with established premium marques. Its inaugural models, the Legend and Integra sedans, quickly earned Acura the distinction of being the first Japanese automaker to field a dedicated luxury brand in North America, prompting Toyota and Nissan to follow suit.
