About BAIC
Beijing Automotive Industry Holding traces its roots to 1958 as Beijing Automobile Works repairing Soviet designs. Now a conglomerate spanning Arcfox EVs to Foton trucks, BAIC sold over 1.71 million vehicles in 2024. Flagships include the rugged BJ40 off‑roader and Arcfox αS with Huawei ADS autonomy. BAIC’s new “Three‑Year Leap” plan and updated logo aim to revitalise sales, while joint ventures with Mercedes‑Benz and Hyundai secure technology pipelines. An interesting note: BAIC built China’s first homegrown limousine, the Dongfanghong BJ760, in the 1960s.
