Created on 2 December 2021 by Seres Group in partnership with Huawei’s consumer business unit, AITO (“Adding Intelligence To Auto”) targets China’s premium smart-EV segment. Its line-up includes the M5 crossover, family-oriented M7 SUV, and flagship M9, all offered as pure-electric or range- extended hybrids featuring Huawei’s HarmonyOS cockpit and advanced driver-assistance hardware. Deliveries hit 31,700 units in March 2024, and the M9 alone has drawn more than 100,000 firm orders, placing AITO among the country’s fastest-growing new-energy brands. Control of AITO trademarks is now being transferred fully to Seres, while co-located showrooms in Huawei stores give the marque nationwide exposure ahead of planned European exports.
