BelGee was established in 2011 as a joint venture between Belarus’s BelAZ and China’s Geely to bring modern car assembly to Belarus. Its Borisov plant began operations in 2017, initially producing the Geely Atlas midsize SUV and Emgrand 7 sedan, later adding the Coolray compact crossover. Designed for flexible capacity up to 60,000 vehicles per year, BelGee models combine international design standards with local service support. Sold primarily in Belarus and neighboring CIS markets, these cars offer a balance of affordability and contemporary features. BelGee’s launch marked the country’s first large-scale passenger-car assembly, and it continues to foster technology transfer and local expertise through its partnership with Geely.
