Deepal (深蓝, literally "Deep Blue") is a new-energy vehicle brand established by Changan Automobile in April 2022, evolving from Changan's new energy technology subsidiary founded in 2017 in Chongqing. The brand became an independently operated entity in 2023, focusing on battery-electric and extended-range electric vehicles aimed at the mainstream market. Its growing lineup includes the SL03/L07 mid-size sedan, the S07 and S05 crossover SUVs, the rugged G318 off-road EREV, and the flagship S09. Deepal vehicles are offered in both pure-electric and range-extended configurations, broadening their appeal to buyers wary of charging infrastructure gaps. The brand has expanded aggressively overseas, reaching nearly 100 countries and regions—including Thailand, Australia, and parts of Europe—with cumulative deliveries surpassing 700,000 units. Backed by Changan's manufacturing scale and a dedicated Thai production facility under construction, Deepal is positioning itself as a global contender in affordable smart electric mobility.
