Deepal (深蓝, literally "Deep Blue") is a new-energy vehicle brand established by Changan Automobile in April 2022, evolving from Changan's new energy technology subsidiary founded in 2017 in Chongqing. The brand became an independently operated entity in 2023, focusing on battery-electric and extended-range electric vehicles aimed at the mainstream market. Its growing lineup includes the SL03/L07 mid-size sedan, the S07 and S05 crossover SUVs, the rugged G318 off-road EREV, and the flagship S09. Deepal vehicles are offered in both pure-electric and range-extended configurations, broadening their appeal to buyers wary of charging infrastructure gaps.
