About KG Mobility
Rebranded from SsangYong Motor in March 2022 under Korea’s KG Group, KG Mobility inherits nearly seven decades of SUV expertise. The current lineup features the Korando compact SUV, launched in 1983 and now in its fifth generation, and the Rexton family off-roader. The brand’s first electric vehicle, the Torres EV, debuted in late 2022 with a 60 kWh battery, 400 km WLTP range, and Level 2+ autonomous driving capabilities. In 2023, KG Mobility sold over 80,000 vehicles domestically and initiated exports to Southeast Asia. KG Mobility retains key legacy partnerships, including powertrain collaborations with Mercedes-Benz, and emphasizes SUV and EV development to drive global expansion. KG Mobility’s future roadmap includes hydrogen fuel-cell prototypes leveraging its heavy-duty vehicle portfolio.
