About ORA
Launched in 2018 by Great Wall Motor, ORA is an electric vehicle sub-brand dedicated to urban mobility, emphasizing retro-inspired styling and affordability. Its debut model, the ORA R1 “Black Cat,” entered production in 2019 as an entry-level EV with a 47.8 kWh battery and 360 km CLTC range. The Good Cat (Funky Cat), introduced in 2020, elevated the lineup with Porsche Design Studio styling, a 500 km NEDC range, and advanced driver-assistance features. In 2022, ORA unveiled the Ballet Cat, a compact crossover blending classic lines with modern technology. By the end of 2023, ORA had delivered over 200,000 vehicles in China and commenced exports to select European markets. The brand continues to expand charging infrastructure partnerships and roll out over-the-air updates to enhance performance and user experience.
