Wuling, part of the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture since 2002, rose to prominence with the microvan Sunshine series and Hongguang MPV. In 2020, Wuling launched the Hongguang MINI EV, a compact two-seater electric vehicle with a 17.3 kWh battery and 120 km WLTP range, recording sales exceeding 300,000 units in its first year. Wuling’s approach blends cost-effective manufacturing with urban mobility solutions. By 2023, Wuling sold over 650,000 electric vehicles, making the MINI EV segment’s top seller globally and expanding its micro-EV lineup with new battery options and enhanced connectivity features.
