XPeng Motors was established in 2014 by entrepreneur He Xiaopeng, alongside co-founders H Edward, He Xiao-peng and Xia Heng, to develop smart electric vehicles in Guangzhou, China. Its first model, the G3 compact SUV, debuted in 2018 with over-the-air software updates and the X-Pilot driver-assist suite. Successors include the P7 performance sedan, the mid-size G6 and the family-oriented P5 sedan, all featuring XPeng’s XOS infotainment platform.
